Next new product to be released - Active Purchase

by Will M on 18 Jul 2007 11:55 PM

I had so many people ask about the Upgrade Wizard module I decided to make it into an actual product.  There are already several e-commerce modules for DotNetNuke, not to mention the upcoming release of the DotNetNuke Store Project.  However, I think there is a need for flexible and easy to use e-commerce order form.  Active Purchase is not designed to be a product catalog.  It will be very well suited for an organization that wants to sell less than 25 items.

There are several features that I'm really excited about in this module. First, it is 100% AJAX and incorporates our new Control Panel system (coming soon to Active Forums).  Second, the order checkout wizard.  This allows you to define and customize each step of the checkout process.  You can even load your own controls if you like.  This will make it very easy to modify to meet your needs without changing the source code.  One last feature I will mention is Custom Actions.  I'm hoping this will make it into the first release, but it maybe in a quick follow-up release.  Custom Actions will allow you to define certain tasks to take place immediately following the completion of the order.  This could be adding a user to a specific role, sending an email or making a call to an external database.

Okay, I'll mention one more feature.  It completely integrates with Active CRM.  You will be able to create an invoice in Active CRM and email it to your customer.  Then your customer can come to your site, enter the invoice number and submit the payment.

Below are some screenshots from the control panel.  Please keep in mind that these are not finalized just.
