Active Forums Lite (FREE) & Express Coming October29th

by Will M on 25 Oct 2008 07:13 PM

Next week we will be releasing two additional package options for Active Forums.  The current state of the economy is taking it's toll on everyone.  We hope that some people will find our new package options and licensing changes helpful.  We have made adjustments to all packages and will post full details on Wednesday.  However, I will share some details on Active Forums Lite and Express.

Active Forums Lite will be available for free.  This version will contain all of the features of the current Standard edition.  The Lite edition will be restricted to 1 Forum Group and 3 Forums.  There will be no other restrictions.  You will be able to use this version on as many portals as you like. This will also replace our trial version.  This will be perfect for those that need an extended amount of time to fully evaluate Active Forums or for a small community site.

Active Forums Express will be available for $49.95.  The Express Edition will have the same feature and license specifications as our current Standard Edition.  Active Forums Standard Edition will have several licensing improvements which will benefit current customers.

Please leave a comment if you have any questions.

Thanks,
Will

As a prior owner of Active Forums, I look forward to these changes. I really couldn't afford it after ver.2.x and this is great news for person like me with a small personal website.

    Hi Will,

I have looked at the conversion tool to convert from Core Forum to Active Forums. However, at this moment the pinned toppic in the conversion forum is converting to AF3.7 (or 8).

Will this script be updated to the latest AF4 version to enable the move from the Core Forum to Active Forums?
