Active Forums and Active Social Development Update

by Will M on 17 Aug 2009 09:10 AM

This is a just brief post to let everyone know where we stand with the next release of Active Forums and Active Social.  Those that follow me on twitter know that I haven't been feeling 100% for the past two weeks.  That is now behind me and I'm ready to get some new releases out the door.

Today I will be reviewing code and test results to see exactly where we stand with both products.  Active Social is still closer to release than Active Forums, but both will be released at the same time since the next release of Active Social requires the latest version of Active Forums.

When will it be released? I'm not going to set a date just yet, but I will say that we are doing everything we possibly can to have the public release before the end of the month.

I try and post an update each day.  I'm really excited about the new capabilities of Active Forums 5.0.

    Hi Will,

    Thanks for the updates.

I 've been going through your blog and I am not sure if you've posted them but I cant seem to find the features list for AF 4.2.

Would you be able to tell me if you plan on including the Topic Author role functionality within AF 4.2 or a later release?

    Thanks,

    Sam
