DNN Says im using Version 1.9.4 Active Social and Version 4.3.5 of Active Forums.

 

I don’t seem to be able to “limit” Forum postings to users Active Social Journal to just “Friends”. I have tried setting MANY different “flags”…}options”..etc..etc.. but to no avail so far.

 

I tried reinstalling both Active Forums and Active Social… still no luck.

 

 

Under Active Forums Settings, I have “set” the Access Keys for ActiveSocial integration

 

 

Under Forum “Features” tab I have set the individual Forums social integration “on”… and selected “Only Friends”.

 

Under Active Social Control Panel I have selected Forum Topics and Replies to be present in all options (profiles, groups, social summary)

 

 

Under Active Social Control Panel I have set the Forum Topics and Forum replies Access Key

 

Displays on user profiles have been set to “Friends”

 

Default Journal has been set to “Friends Only”

 

 

I also have DigArticles Module. Works great… but I also have the same “friends” issue. When I set to “Everyone”… stories are posted. When I set to “Friends” nothing gets posted to the Journal at all.

 

Have I missed something? Could this be to do with DNN (roles?) and not AS/AF?

It works for me. Have you added Friends Only as an option available to members on the journal page of the AS control panel?

In the AS Control Panel I have the following set:-

 

Status, Notes, File, Photo, Links - all set to "Friends"

 

In the "Set Default Entry Security" I have this set to "Friends only"

 

Are there other settings I need to "set"?

 

Yes, did you click the >> button to add Friends as an available option? (Journal page of control panel)
