    • Active Social Version: 1.9.3
    • DotNetNuke Version: 5.6.1
We are running into timeouts when running a member search (Quick or Advanced).  We have about 330,000 users.  I ran the stored procedure call in SQL Enterprise manager and get execute times of 55 seconds to over a minute.

I had seen something in the forums about enabling full-text search, but could not find the option in the control panel, so I'm presuming that was for an older version, correct?

Any suggestions for how to improve this so we don't get the timeout errors??

    Thanks,
    Marty

Any posts regarding full text indexing are referring to the search in Active Forums, not Active Social.

We have tested in the search in Active Social with a very large amount of users. Usually the cause of performance issues are custom profile properties that would require extra processing to display. Have you manually added or installed 3rd party modules that would have added custom profile properties that might be causing this?

Yes, we have a number of custom, manually added profile properties.

So, how do we best deal with this?

    Hi Marty,

Did you purchase via snowcovered.com? If so, can you please create a help desk ticket there? I will need more detailed information from you to resolve this issue. If you can provide temporary access to a host account that would be helpful as well.
