    • Active Social Version: 1.8.3
    • DotNetNuke Version: 5.6.2
After installing DNN and Active Social I go to the Control Panel, and into the Journal section. Under "Set Default Journal Entry Security" I set the default to "Friend's Only". Under "Options Available to Members, I add "Everyone", "Friend's Only", "Group Members" and "Private", and then save.

Then when I try to post a message from one friends wall to another using the "Friend's Only" restriction, the friend who posted the message can see it on his wall and the friend's wall, but the friend that received the message cannot see it.

Is there some setting I'm missing? This functionality seems like a bug. Any help appreciated.

I would set the default back to Default, because it acts like Friends Only anyway, but will prevent posts from being Friends Only in groups, when they should be Group Members Only.

Also, there was a bug in previous versions where users could not see Friends Only posts on their own journal, because they were not technically friends with themselves. I would upgrade to the latest version if possible. If you purchased on snowcovered.com check your downloads section there to see if you have any newer versions available.

The active social package was purchased from the Active Modules site, and unfortunately the developer who purchased it is currently on vacation. Is there some way I can provide you with the invoice details and get access to the updated version?

Yes, click the envelope under my avatar to the left, and send me the information via a private message.
