I've recently upgraded to 1.4.1 and everything seems to be ok with the exception of the following:

    1. Advanced search on Member List is gone - is there a button to enable this somewhere now?

    2. Go to profile > select Friends tab > scroll to the bottom and select the next page of friends. This will refresh the page and take you back to the Activity page.

Other than those two items everything looks great, I just need to know where that 'enable search' button is located

    Control Panel > Members
Select which fields are available for Advanced Search.

If it still doesn't appear then chances are you have Quick Search turned off under Social View Settings. It is enabled by default.
We are aware that turning off Quick Search shouldn't necessarily hide the Advanced Search link as well. We will add an additional setting in an upcoming release.

    2. Go to profile > select Friends tab > scroll to the bottom and select the next page of friends. This will refresh the page and take you back to the Activity page.

Yes, this is pretty annoying. It's actually paging properly just not setting the correct view on the tabs. This will also be corrected shortly.

Will, below is what I have done and the results. Thank you, Herb

Control Panel > Members Select which fields are available for Advanced Search. DONE

If it still doesn't appear then chances are you have Quick Search turned off under Social View Settings. It is enabled by default. All I see when I select  'Social View Settings' is the following:

    Active Social View Manager
Choose the content or view that you would like to be displayed in this area.
    Default View: [DROP DOWN BOX]
[CheckBox] Would you like this to be the default page for this view?
    [SAVeButton]

I don't see a setting anywhere on the Social View Settings to turn the Quick Search on or off. The quick search, the alphabet list, and Go button are still missing.

    1) Are there any javascript errors on the page?
Please try with IE and Firefox

    2) Are you using the "_activesocial" theme? If not, please try with the "_activesocial" theme selected.

    3) Create a new page with the default DotNetNuke Skin and container selected. Add Active Social page and select the member list and see if that works.

    4) I believe you are running DNN 5. If Social View Settings doesn't appear properly when testing number 3, please re-install the module.

#3 - I could see the rest of the items for the "Social View Settings." So what does this prove, or, what needs to be done to fix it?

    Thanks,
    Herb

It proves that the module works as designed and something on you member page is causing a javascript problem.

Yep, I apllied the default DNN skin, loaded the page, went into 'Social View Settings' made my changes, and finally set the page skin back to mine...

I was trying to think outside the box

As for the Javascript error, I see none on the page. I checked using IE and Firefox but there was no errors.

I dunno what to say on that...

Thanks for loggin in - I didn't expect you to do that, thank you!

In that case, you really need to consider upgrading your skin to an XHTML doctype

    very good idea.
