Ok.. it's been a while and now i can't find the settings...

We no longer want our users to be redirected to their AS profile page after login.
We went here and changed the settings but we still get a redirect...
    any ideas.
admin>useracct>usersettings and made the field blank.. but it is still directing users to their profiles.. is there an AS setting i'm missing?

Do you see the returnurl in the query string portion of the URL, after you click a login link and get taken to the long page?

What steps are you using to log in?

    Thanks for the reply ben..
got me thinking... when i click the login on this skin it does have the redirect (WE don't see this used much anymore because we have the quick login at the top of all pages)

Just noticed that the AS quick login redirects to the As user profile..
If users use the login in the DNN skin.. then they are directed back to the page they were on.

I guess it's hard coded in the as mini login... is there a way to change this if so...

Are you referring to the Mini Login custom view posted in the Themes & Templates forum? If so, I am not sure if it will behave correctly with regard to redirects, it was developed for activesocial.com and posted here because a number of users asked for it.

I got the same problem with the missing "returnurl". I'm using the WelcomeCenterSkinObject with the token [AS:URL:LOGIN] but it is not adding the returnurl.

Any way to add the returnurl?

    Thanks!

Yes.. i am reffering to the mini login... if i don't use the mini login it works fine.
is there any way to have the mini login let you redirect to your current page?

Just noticed this myself. I previously had the user settings directing to a specific page in DNN and works fine. But, when leaving the setting empty, it redirects to the AS profile every time if using AS login. Would rather see redirect back to whatever page the user was on.
    Cheers! Jeff

Me too +1 Ideally...if returnurl is present then the login should respect it. If not present then look at the redirect on login tabid.

I ended up buying the Dynamic login from datasprings instead of the As mini login..
It redirects to the last page you were on, and has customizable templates so that you can fit it above your menu.
you can see it at www.planetsocialsports.com if you are interested
Not to hard to setup.  Also has a facebook login/connect as well.
