- Active Social Version: 1.9.2
- DotNetNuke Version: 5.6.2
Hi,
Installed version 1.9.2 onto a fairly fresh dotnetnuke install. The DNN install already had the DNN Forums installed, and I entered about 5 registered users for some simple security and functionality testing. I mention this in case its a problem.
After installing Active Social (no errors turned up on the install screen), I installed Active Forums.
I initially had a problem with "Status" being a duplicate field. Deleted these from the User profile field and from the SQL database... and no further issue here.
Second issue I had was with a "duplicate" user display name - so changed the user name. This was then solved.
So... The errors I am currently experiencing are:-
1) I use the Active Forums "login" module to login my Super Admin account. All OK. My "Skin" show the appropriate display name, so all appears good.
When I navigate to "Social Members" - it displays the other 5 members of the site... but remember, these were created using the standard DNN registration Module.
When I try to make one of these members my "friend" I receive a popup notification box with the following wording:-
You must be a member of the site and signed in to perform this action.
Not sure if this is because of an error with the super admin account (as it appears logged in?) or because the other users were created other than using the Social Active registration module???
2) When I navigate to Social Profile, all appears OK. I have a screen with multiple Tabs... no errors... all seems well.
If I choose the smaller font "My Account" or "my settings"... these are OK as well
When I choose "Edit Profile" I get an error:-
Error: ActiveSocial is currently unavailable.
DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. ---> System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. at Active.Modules.Social.Controls.ProfileEdit.LoadProfileProperties() at Active.Modules.Social.Controls.ProfileEdit.BindView() at Active.Modules.Social.Controls.ProfileEdit.Page_Load1(Object sender, EventArgs e) --- End of inner exception stack trace
I have a feeling both (1) and (2) above are probably related. Your insight into what I need to do would be appreciated. I dont mind deleting all users... deleting the DNN Forums...etc..etc... I would not like to go back to a fresh install of DNN - as it has taken countless hours to get to this point.
Many thanks!
Martin
