My site and profile journals are not showing the total text when people become friends.

It says... Cliff Hammock is friends with

It should say... Cliff Hammock is friends with Jen B

When I filter the journal on Friends Created I see that it was posting correctly last week but not now. Could a persons settings cause an incomplete post?

Here is what is in the journal template.

    [AS:JOURNALINFO:PROFILENAMELINK] is friends with [AS:CONTROL:JDL:H:4]

Are you seeing this multiple different users?

Sounds the like the expected behavior when a user is deleted.

Just tested by adding a Demo User account as my friend. It worked with this result.

    January 08
Cliff Hammock is friends with Demo User

But the I have a real person who created an account 2 days ago on my site to start helping with Admin and Content stuff.

    On her profile it says...
    Jen B is friends with

    On my profile it says...
    Cliff Hammock is friends with

On the site journal it says....
So I thought there she may have a setting on her new account that was causing this.

How was the friend request created and accepted?

Honestly I cannot remember for sure. I recall that I wanted to message her and realized that I couldn't send her a message without being her friend. So I used the Add Friend either from the Member Directory or Her Profile. Then I assume she received a notification and accepted my request.
