    • Active Social Version: 1.5
    • DotNetNuke Version: 5.6.1

    Hi,
when I login as Host and tried to access Host menu (or clicked Host icon on the toolbar) I then be redirected to Host profile page, instead of Host menu. I can access Admin menu without problem but not Host account menu.

How will I resolve this? It only happened now after upgrading to DNN 05.06.01

I'm still using Active Social 1.4.1.0v

Sounds like you have vanity urls enabled or some kind of URL conflict. You will probably need to go into the activesocial_User table and delete the record for your host account. If that doesn't help you will probably need to make some adjustments to your url handling. If you are using vanity urls without a prefix and using a URL rewriter that removes extensions, then that is causing a conflict with accessing the page titled "Host".

    Hi Will,

Can you send me SQL script which I can run to delete host account records on Activesocial_user table? My site hosted by PowerDNN but they only use ASP Enterprise Management to edit database, I was able to find the table but unable to open it, is unclickable. Also my computer failed to install SQL Management Studio. My option is to run sql query.

To delete a record in this table you would want to use a command like:

    DELETE FROM dbo.activesocial_User WHERE UserId = ##

Replace ## with the actual user ID of the superuser account.

PLEASE make a backup of your database before running any SQL commands, especially DELETE.

Ben, I used MS  Visual Studio 2010 to connect to db, I deleted Host account records (id no 1) from Activesocial_user table. Reload, reboot but the problem still persist.  I can't also save anything using control panel.  I tried to change vanity url options> save settings> it confirm 'settings have been updated' but actual nothing is changed.

    Hi AM team,

there is anyone who will be able to help with this issue? I did everything that I could do, but the problem still persist. My last option I guess is trying to uninstall and reinstall AS. However, I misplaced my Active Social  1.4.1.0v build files. AM do you still have this build 1.4.1.0v?

    Thanks,

We usually do not give out old versions of the module, because there have been so many improvements made since then. Even this particular issue might have been resolved in the time between 1.4.1 and 1.9.2.
