I can not reproduce this. I clicked a user's Add Friend link on the members list with 4 different users and did not receive an error.

Are you seeing the Add Friend link after you have already requested a user's friendship? It should change to "Friend Request Pending" after you click it once.

Hi, thanks for your support, but there is no problem in "Adding Friends"
The problem is produced when you want to see your friends list or the friends of others.
I mean that the problem is in the "Friend" tab.

    Thank you again

I am not sure what you are seeing. Can you take a screen shot of the error, and explain the steps you followed to generate it?

There will not be any friends listed in the Friends tab, if they have not confirmed the friendship.

If you login as a host user, and check the event viewer, you will be able to see the full error message. Can you please paste it here?

Each time you load the page, it should log the error in the event viewer.

You can also just take a screenshot of the error in the event viewer if that is easier.

Looks like you removed or renamed the Region property. Active Social requires the default DotNetNuke profile fields to be present. You can rename any property using localization, but still keep the system name in place. You either need to create or change the name back to region, or modify several templates (ie. friends, members) to remove the region field.

    Hi,

We have had a similar issue only the field had been renamed to be state. It has now been rectified and renamed Region however upon changing this, the contents of this drop down profile field are not available when editing your profile via active social and as such members cannot fill out the required state/ region field. We are now aware that the name can simply be changed via the localisation section and the full name does not need to be changed but we cannot get the drop down fields to show in active social editing (they show in dnn profile editing). We have tried adding new fields, to see if they show but this does not work. The state field is a core field on the site and removing it and re-adding it would lead to the loss of a fair chunk of data.

Your help would be very very much appreciated.

    Mel
