    • Active Social Version: 1.9.3
    • DotNetNuke Version: 5.6.2
is there any way to change the default from:
Welcome to-the-grouop-i-just-created in Active social when a user creates a new group and a forum is added to it.
to: nothing... it's making our urls really long and not good for seo.
    Thanks

I'm not exactly sure what you are referring to here. The journal item that is created when a group is formed? The name of the forum?

when creating a group.. a forum group is automatically created for the AS group.
The default for the group is prefaced by "welcome-to....."

We don't want to have to go into each individual group after creation and edit the forum name for the AS group.

By default the forum should have the same name as the group, and have a sub-forum called "General Discussion".

The description for the sub-forum, which appears right below the name, does say "Welcome to Group Name." But I am not sure how this is affecting your URL.

Can you give me a screen shot, or a link to the forum with this problem?

The Active Forums friendly urls can be configured to be quite short, however I believe you do have to define the friendly names manually for automatically created AS group forums.
