    • Active Social Version: 1.9.1
    • DotNetNuke Version: 5.6.1
When a user or admin try to post to a forum or through an AS group, the AJAX animation appears and stays. The post never gets posted. No permissions have been changed. IE give this error:

    Message: Permission denied
    Line: 692
    Char: 9
    Code: 0
    URI: http://www.domain.com/Community/Gro...roupforums

    Any Suggestions?

Is your site running under medium trust? If it is, you need to disable attachments in the forums.

Will, the site is running under Full trust, I just double checked the server to be certain. That said, disabling attachments did the trick. However, there are a few groups that I'd really like attachments enabled.

    Further suggestions?

Only two other things I can think of:
    1) I noticed that isn't our URL format. It's possible something is failing in the javascript because of the url format.
    2) See if it happens on multiple machines. I've seen javascript errors occur because of anti-virus software. AVG has been causing a lot of problems lately.

The URL's on the site are handled by URLMaster, however the tabs for users/members and groups are excluded from redirecting, and again, this all worked fine up-until today. BTW, the URL for the group I posted the error for shows in the browser window as http://www.domain.com/groups/beta-t...roupforums

I have tried several machines with different browsers (even from the server itself) with the same results. I know of the AVG issue I've had to steer several clients away from it.

Is there anyway of [self] testing the set-up to be certain everything is configured correctly? Having attachments in some of the forums is crucial.

I'm still trying to get my forums to work with attachments enabled. I tried using IE (which I rarely do) and I get a JS error:

    Message: Permission denied
    Line: 658
    Char: 9
    Code: 0
    URI: http://www.domain.com/Discussions/a...post/aff/2

The strange thing is, I have another portal and it behaves normally, even if I use the same skin/themes. I have attached the source view if that will help.

Any help to get me going in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.

Do you have URL Master enabled on the other portal as well?

Yes Will, but those pages are configured NOT to redirect. Even with FURL's turned off on that page,  posting fails.

Still trying to get this working. Posts cannot be made to a forum that have attachments enabled. It is not a permissions issue as this install has several portals and they work fine. The site is running under Full Trust. I have tested on different skins and containers with no luck.

    Firefox detects this error:
Error: Permission denied for <http://www.domain.net> to get property Window.af_hasfile
    Source File: http://www.domain.net/Community/Discussions/afv/post/aff/3
    Line: 496

I really would like any suggestions.
