I had a user call in today stating that when he clicked to do a friend request, the popup appeared but it was blank, same with send a message. He is running windows 7and IE. There were no javascript errors on the page and nothing in the event log. I could not replicate the problem in ie8 or firefox on  xp

    anyone see this.

I am not aware of any issues with Windows 7 and Active Social or Active Forums.

Is the user logged in, and a member of the Member and Community roles?

    Hi Ben

Yes the user is logged in and is a member of the registered user role. I have the member and community role set to registered user as I am not using verified registration or the AS login/registration modules.

I had something similar happen to me yesterday where I logged in on my home machine and attempted to add photos to a photo album. The add photos box rendered but the add photo button did not. On my laptop, it works fine.

What would be different from machine to machine that could cause this. My laptop is running xp my home machine is vista.

I can't really think of anything that would matter machine to machine, except perhaps the javascript settings in the browser.

It could be a corrupted cookie or viewstate problem. Does it still happen if the user logs out, clears his cache, closes the browser, then tries again?
