    • Active Social Version: 1.9.1
    • DotNetNuke Version: 5.5.1

    Hi there,

I'm unsure whether I need to provide the "Access Key for Topics" and "Access Key for Replies" settings in Active Forums, and if so, where do I get them?

In case it matters, I used the setup wizard to add AS to the site and AF was already present.

I've been reading docs-a-plenty, but haven't found this one yet.

    Regards
    Rob

These keys are not required but can be used if you want tighter integration between AS and AF.

The keys are found in the Forum Topic and Reply journal type editors in the AS control panel.

Here is some more information about it:

Just wanted to add a few more details to this topic. You will not need to set the keys if you are using Active Forums within Active Social Groups. However, if you want Active Forums to post to the journal without groups just like you see on our site then you will need to setup the keys.
