First, I love the Active Theme...it makes it look much much better although there are still some issues I'm showing.  It's good progress though.  I've attached photos of the formatting issues I'm having with the Active Theme.

    1.  The User Groups List - the list of groups is showing jacked up in both IE7 on a PC and in Firefox 3.0.10 on Mac for me although both look different.

    2.  Friends Tab on a User's Profile Page:  in the same manner, the friends tab is doing the same thing as the user groups in both these browsers.

    3.  User Group Members Tab:  same thing is happening in this tab

And last but not least, in none of the versions of Active Social has the search function for members worked at all.  It doesn't matter what I put in the search field....it doesn't bring up any records ever.  Also, if I click on Advanced Search this is simply blank.

    Anybody else having these issues?

Please look through the dozen or so topics about formatting.

Make sure you have configured search in the control panel.

Will, I have selected the Active Theme so shouldn't it be formatted to work without having to modify the formatting? Or is additional formatting required in addition to a theme? I was under the impression the theme was supposed to control formatting...is that not the case?

That is the case, but it also requires a XHTML skin. Also, we can't guarantee that your skin will have the same proportions that we intended. Look in the customer forums and you will see a few topics regarding themes and various skins.

Thanks Will.  I'll take a look.  Based on the photos I've attached do you have any idea if I would be able to correct those formatting issues by tweaking your Active theme or do you suggest I try to manipulate the skin?  I would hope the theme would be able to do it.

Also, where do I ensure I have searching enabled?  I see in the Members Tab of the AS Control Panel where I can select search options for various fields but I don't see UserName or DisplayName in there.  My users know each other by their DisplayNames on my portal so I would like for users to be able to search on that.  They don't use their names.  Is this possible?

Will, I just checked and my skin is showing that it is "XHTML 1.0 Transitional" ... I'm taking a look at your theme guide but this is going to take some time.

I don't know if it's possible to come up with a better Active Theme or default.  Are other users experiencing these formatting issues after upgrading to this version?  I just tried changing the container to a DNN default and it's still showing these same issues so I don't think it's my skin or my container.  I'm not going to have the time right now to figure this out so if you or somebody else could come up with a stable theme that would be very helpful.  If I'm the only one having these issues please let me know so I can try to figure out what is different about my site.
