At the bottom of the settings page in the Active Social control panel, you will find a number of miscellaneous settings.

Messaging – Miscellaneous settings for the Active Social private messaging system.

Enable pop-up notifications – This setting will cause a small box to show in the bottom right corner whenever a user has unread messages in their private messaging inbox. The pop-ups will only show on a page that has an Active Social module or custom skin object on it.

Check for messages every x minutes. – Active Social will check to see if there are any new messages in the inbox every x amount of minutes.

Site Address - The Site Address allows you to specify the primary internet address for your site. For example, http://www.activemodules.com would be the default site address for Active Modules, Inc.

“Reply to” email address - You can specify a "noreply" email address that will be used for the From address when sending email notifications to users. If you leave this field blank then the email address associated with your administrator account will be used.

Advanced URL Options – If you choose to enable these two checkboxes, you will be able to directly navigate to user and group profiles. The format for the URLs is as follows:
http://www.domain.com/users/Username and http://www.domain.com/groups/Groupname. If you do not know the exact name of the user or group, it will redirect you to the search page, with a list of results similar to what you entered as the name.
