    Hi everyone!

I'm looking at several article/blogging solutions that would integrate with AS.

A few of which are, Ventrian, Sunblognuke, and Cross Article.

Can I please get some opinions as to which one some of you think is the best for AS and why? Trying to map out a plan

    Thanks!

I think there are several good article/blogging modules available.

What you plan to do with such a module may be the most important factor in which one you choose as some of these modules offer features that others do not. So you need to review each to ensure it will do what you need. In my opinion the best one is DigArticle as it has most everything the others do plus some features the others do not. A couple that stick out in my mind:

You can auto input the article category from the querystring. This allows you to build "Add Article" buttons in different sections of your site that auto fill the CORRECT category. This prevents orphaned articles due to authors not filling out (or incorrectly filling out) the category field. You can also auto fill the title and link to external resources via the querystring. This means you can build a bookmarketlet for you users to store in their web browers that will grab the title and URL of a page they are looking at and auto fill out a new article form on your site.

DigArticle is the most actively developed DNN article module. Check out the release log on their site.

If you want to use Live Writer DigArticle comes with it's own sub-module to facilitate this. The others rely on a third party module that is questionable whether it is going to continue to be developed.

CrossArticle is nice too but it as well as DNN Article (From ZLDNN) have large numbers of sub-modules. This creates a mess in the module drop down of the control panel. DigArticle has all the same sub-module capabilities built into one sub-module called the dashboard module. The dashboard module has a drop-down to determine what type of sub-module you want that instance to be.

Those are just a couple of example's.

BTW, here is a link to a thread I started on DNN forums when I was in the same position as you. It may be a bit old but there might be some info that might help you.

    Greg,

Thank you so much for your input. I greatly appreciate it. I've also been very impressed by Mandeep's new blog module.. I'm considering talking to him about AS integration. The layout is what's most impressive.

I'll take a look at those resources..

Thank you for taking the time to post as much as you have.
