Just curious if anyone has already implemented either Ajax Tabs from Gumbosoft or the Yahoo Like Tabs from DaoA to save some space. I would like to tab out Latest Members, Latest Groups, etc.

I remember trying to do this with the older My Profile and I had some issues with that. If anyone could share any experiences they have with these Tab tools it would be much appreciated.

I don't have the latest versions of these tools and don't really want to purchase if I am going to have issues.

We are going to make the tab control that is in profile available as a custom view very shortly. We will not be able to support our modules inside a third-party wrapper. This has caused way too many issues for us in the past with Active Forums.

Will, thanks for being proactive on this. I know I do like Yahoo or Ajax tabs for basic textual data or basic Text/HTML modules. But I have had poor experience like you trying to embed any type of dynamic data into the 3rd party Tab modules.

Looking forward to getting the AS Tab as a part of the custom view thingy.

    Cliff,

I have used the Gumbosoft module just before the 3rd party integration has been released in AS .18 and this worked all right. If I recall this right I have created custom views for all of the tabs (even the default ones) and placed these in seperate instances of the AS module on a hidden page.

I just called the modules from Gumbosof's module this worked all right. If I am not mistaken this was all before the releasing of the asuid in the url and have no idea anymore what it will mean for the asuid parameter in the url.
    Regards,
    Marc
