I'm trying to understand how the Social Summary is supposed to work (the one on the AS demo home page). I have made no changes and am on 1.4.1

User A has 100 friends including User B.
User B writes “Hello” on User A ‘s wall.

User C joins and befriends User A.
User C now sees User B’s “Hello” on their site summary.

User C and User B are not friends, but it is showing something from User A's wall. There is no way for User C to click on to that wall to see it and it looks like User B is talking to User C, NOT User A

I would have thought it only shows activity from User B’s direct friends?
    thanks

On my site..User a only sees the entries of his/her friends and or groups...only. I was trying to figure out how to have 2 summaries on my site...one for friends/groups only and one for everyone...Still trying to figure it out myself.

When you say they see entries of their friends - do you mean entries that their friends POST or entries on their friends wall's that OTHERS post?

I use the social summary as the user's home page on my site and have created a default group that all players belong to so they can see everything posted by other group members in the social summary.  I did it this way because I didn't want the player's hompage to appear blank if they hadn't added any friends or joined any groups.   This way, there is always activity on the player's hompage. I may go away from this 'seeding' method as the site grows, but for right now it is working out well.

Yes, I do a similar thing: I insert a new wall post on new user journals and autofriend them for this reason too - e.g here is how a new user's wall looks: http://www.pokerdiy.com/demones.aspx
