I am really exited about your new build, and waiting anxiously for it. Functionalities that we would really appreciate to see would be:

****** User linking videos (Youtube - Google - screencast)
****** User upload of Images .. clickable thumbnail to view bigger image
****** Filter search newest linked videos from All users, or users in a group

******* Maybe you allredy included this, seems to work in some way for version 1.0.8

I guess this will be covered when intergration with 3rd party modules becomes availabel (e.g. Ultra Video Gallery, and others).

DNNHost - which corner peel module are you using? I bought one and it never worked. Scared my away from others.

I would like to have it set up so that users can easily include vids, image galleries, mp3s, etc. in their profile but I want to 'force' them to be from another host - YouTube, Picasa, flickr, etc. I don't want to have all that on my server. Maybe they receive a 20 image gallery or something to get going and if they want more make them set up with flickr.

In the latest builds, (10) and (11) the HTML for Journal was removed and thereby the possibility for Youtube or other videos.
This is a bit sad for us.
I do realize the problem with allowing HTML, but a fixed code for youtube so that users could just insert url to video should not be that big of a task.

I do not really see the need for same functionality 2 times meaning in "write" and "note". is there a difference in the 2 ?

I'd still rather have the UVG integration!!!

yes we need to have uvg integration as well. It will be very important for us to be able to integrate our custom modules and other 3rd partys with groups and profiles! Anxious to see what Will has cooked up for us in this area. I was messing with the templates and was able to add tabs on the profile view and I can see the potential just not sure how to get there yet...

Yes please. Unless, of course, you come up with something better than these modules. Amazon s3 integration is essential.

This is possible via Link in AS, and of course if HTML is allowed in Groups Forum, like here, it is possible to show a video in the system. This is a demonstration of this, but I do expect it to be killed soon, would have been better with a thumbnail and a popup. I myself like the LiveContent by Mandeeps.com way of doing things

I too vote for UVG integration...I think that video whether from an external link or uploaded directly is the only thing missing from this great module!!!

regardless of how it is done, i fight hard to get users to my site, and for me to add an interesting link to a youtube video relating to content on my site, well.. currently i must send them away. Not good. Perhaps some embedding coding?

I do this from my site using teh Embedly API. See http://embed.ly

using a combination of Jquery and replacing text, my users can do something like:

{embed=linkURL}

where linkURL is the plain like this:

{embded=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R6WMxEA7QGw}

I can embed from over 180 providers listed here: http://api.embed.ly/
all perfectly fit into my site dimensions.

I asked will to think about integrating with this in the past, maybe he will do it if enough people want it.
