Hi Will, Will it become possible, in combination with Active Purchase, to grant access (role based) to a group based on a paid membership by that group. For instance, I am considering video integrated chatrooms and would like to offer this as a paid service for groups, instead of each individual. Each individual should become member of that video enabled group to gain access to the (video)chatrooms. |

I too would like to see subscription or membership dues management (and/or group dues) in the future. I have a number of clubs who use my website and they have been asking about collecting dues through my site. I can see two scenarios: 1. As Marc stated - a group pays the host for a group or features. This might incorporate active purchase into the group creations process. Ideally, trial periods, et would be part of it 2. As a member joins a group they go through active purchase to pay their dues. this would work in a similar fashion, except that the group would need to be able to setup a paypal account of their own in AP. Dues would go to that account and not the host account.

I was checking our Facebook last night and noticed someone had sent my girlfriend a gift, so I went to go check it out saw that Facebook charges gift credits which could be purchased for 100 credits for $1, 500 credits for $5 and 1000 credits for $10. I thought was pretty slick idea for monterizing the website and got to thinking how we can appl this to our new Active Social site. With the new media module, coming out could it be posiable to asign something like the abbility to upload say 3 video or by size allocation and then have them purchase extra storage with Active Purchase then asigned a role by purchased amount? I am just typing out load while I am pondering ways to monterizing my site using Active Social. I figured this would be a good topic to chime in on with my thoughts. |

We too want paid subscriptions, but probably based on roles. So that we can have some free members who get limited access to articles, modules etc and some paying members (1, 3 and 6 month recurring billing) who get access to all (more) of our offerings. We have a WorldPay account so this would have to be integrated somehow... |

Will, any news on the subscription feature yet? We are considering AspDotNetStoreFront, since this is supports Worldpay. Worldpay integration shouldn't take a long time though, so easy choice if Active Purchase will support subscription, whether this be for: - basic membership (free/advertising based, but with limited features / add-on apps ) - pro membership (full access to features / add-on apps) - enterprise membership (members can create "paid groups" and charge the group members for access to the group content) payment can be for: - time based (week, month, quarter, half-year, year) - one time payment / infinite - pay per view / usage

Ben, I see from another post that others have had problems with ASPDNSF and the integration with AS ... http://www.activemodules.com/Commun...fault.aspx How have you been able to integrate ASPDNSF with AS? Really need to make a decision on which subscription solution / e-commerce solution to go for fast, so any information you could share is highly appreciated :-) Thanks, Frank |

Will, Could you please indicate whether we might expect an update on Active Purchase soon or not? I have subscriptions that I would like to sell to users so that they can access specific pages and/or provide them with additional functionality. Thanks in advance. |

I thought I read somewhere in the forums that Will and the team were working on a major release of AP that will have a number of these features. I posted in the AP forums asking for some feedback...No response (I guess Will learned form the AS .17 resease date announcement )
