    • Type of Feedback: Something I want
If possible, it would be very helpful to allow us a CSS setting, or a drop-down etc, to allow us to alter how the command buttons/links are presented with AS. There are spots where the buttons offer no UI-feedback and it throws off the average user. Hover color change, click visual cue and activation cues are all essential *unless* the response to so quick and apparent that the user has no other choice but to realize the click worked..

Thanks for any thoughts on this, drew..

i am days away from opening doors to new users, and would sooo luv to alter this command button rendering. If there is a modestly simple CSS change that anyone can point me to, that would be awesome. My time for tech changes is quite limited at this point in time but this basic issue is quite important, based on feedback from my testers.

    thanks again, drew..

The problem is that there are many different types of buttons used throughout Active Social.  You can't easily update all of them with css changes.  We are moving towards a more consistent approach across all products.  Here are a few screen captures that show some examples of our new UI patterns being used in Active Purchase.  Active Social will get this same treatment for the next release.

awesome Will, that look will definitely take AS to a new level of initial wow-factor. I might peek into looking to make isolated changes when time permits, but definitely look forward to this next update!  drew..

I'm using Mandeeps LiveToolTips ( http://dnn.mandeeps.com/livetooltip/demo.aspx ) to solve this issue. So long as you can get an object ID# then you can assign a tooltip styled anyway you want to display any content your want (even video)on most events hover, focus, click, etc.

    Here's a simple implementation for AS: http://www.mentrepreneurs.com/tabid...fault.aspx

I think that is probably the best use of Active Social with a third-party module that I have seen yet.  Very nice work!

Thanks guys. I really appreciate your compliments. You know how hard all of us work, and all we seem to hear is what's NOT good. You should know I read your tips and hints many times to follow along, so it's special to get your feedback. Thanks

You should see how this works for answering newbie issues! I've got it telling stories, and launching videos etc, all through the AS and other modules. See example: http://www.mentrepreneurs.com/tabid...ngths.aspx
