This feature is not a big deal, but I always wondered why Ventrian did not have it.  It would be great to define a default message in the private messages, that each new user receives.  I think it would be good for a user to see they ahve a message when they first login, and thereby become more familiar with the site and more apt to utilize the functions available.

Why not edit the email that DNN sends when a user registers?

yeah I do already have emails going to registrants, the point from what I was thinking would be more geared toward getting the user interacting with the site functions etc. just a little extra touch to get a first PM
