    • Type of Feedback: Something to think about
I had an incident today where a user posted some messages to the forum and had used a pornographic picture as his profile pic.

I attempted to use the AF feature to "disable avatar" for the user but the pic remained displayed.

As you may know in AS there are two ways of getting an avatar to show on forum posts, you can:

    a) upload an avatar via the AF interface (My Settings)

    AND/OR

    b) upload a profile pic via the AS interface (Edit Profile)

I believe when an avatar was not explicitly uploaded via the AF interface, it falls back and uses the profile pic in AS.

My assumption is that because the profile pic was used in my scenario, the avatar never hid itself.  if this is the case, this is a bug that should be addressed but additionally the profile pic remains.

There should be a way to disable a users profile pic and avatar.

Do you have a custom PostInfo template that renders the Avatar in a way other than the default avatar token?

No, when Active Social/Active Forums integration is setup properly it will only use the Active Social Profile Picture.
