    Hi Will,

I am trying to customize my Sign Up for like so:

Profile Signup.png by PokerDIY on AviaryProfile Signup.png by PokerDIY on Aviary

But it always errors with this error (see error at bottom) until I put Confirm PW back in.

I really don't want to make the users confirm their password and I want the DisplayName to default to the UserName if not entered (they can change it later, no need to pick it now, I reckon 90% of people have the same UserName and DN).

When I omit Confirm PW it bombs, and when I omit DisplayName it works but the User has a DisplayName of blank, ie. "" so, I am forced to add these 2 fields to the sign up form which almost doubles it in size.

Any chance this could be addressed in a future version please?

Update: I tried removing the Confirm Password again on AS 1.3.4 and it looks like it is still required so this signup form is still not possible. I noticed on the mini signup form on ActiveSocial there is only password - so maybe this could be applied to the sign up form too?
    thanks

This isn't a support issue, it's a feature request. Right now those fields are mandatory. Customization such as this will be possible with the registration form custom view, which we are using on the home page of activesocial.com. We will document this after Active Forums 4.2 and Active Social 1.5
