    • Type of Feedback: Something I want
Many of our groups are interested in being more than a "group".  They want a web presence but want to do it with the functionality of AS.  Vanity URLs are a good step (bikeclicks.com/MyCyclingClub) but their group looks like everyone elses.  Currently I'll go so far as to build a separate "PR" site which is basically another DNN site with News Articles setup as a blog and a custom skin (here is an example: http://madeira.bikeclicks.com/) but this create confusion as the site is here and the community is somewhere else.

For a long time I looked into how to embed the group within the site so they were one....but then it hit me.  What if we could apply a custom skin to that group.  Just like DNN allows you to skin each page separately, but back up to a portal default...what if AS did the same?  Then their "site" would be their group.

Adding in another concept floating around the forum for domain aliases per group and we have it.

What I like about this is the admin has complete control on a group level.  I would easily "Sell" skins to groups (I was paid for the one above).  Less management maintenance for me.  Easier management maintenance for the group "owners" and it keeps everything on my site rather than across separate sites.

I realize this might be my own need/request so I'm looking for community feedback on if this is something others might like to see too.
