I may be missing something but I was noticing my profile activity versus group activity. Namely group discussions (forums). New posts and replies show on group activity and site summary but not on profile activity.

Is this by design? and if so, is there a way to get all of a user's activity within AS to show on their profile.

Reason: Friends are more apt to review friends activity and leave comments, follow links, etc. By having all activity for a user show in their profile, it creates more exposure to other areas inside a website.

Edit: I did notice the options in the CP for showing toics and replies on profiles, so I'm reviewing my journal templates now to verify there are no errors. However, side note: those options were checked. So I unchecked, saved, rechecked, saved, and they still don't show up.
    Cheers! Jeff

    Yes

Change JournalMode to 2 on the Profile Journal Control.

Friends will still not be able to see group activity on a friends profile.

The stats that I have seen from various sites are the complete opposite of this. The Journal Summary usually generates the most traffic and participation. People aren't jumping from profile to profile, they are browsing the site summary or the summary of their favorite group. We had one customer site where participation nearly tripled using the Site Summary over profile. All the major social sites do the same thing. Why people don't consider their own profile page as useful is beyond me, but I'm sure Facebook and others have spent big money figuring it out.

I changed the journal mode to 2 on the profile and results remain the same.

Considering my own activity on FB, I generally stick to my feeds (summary) too. Fortunately, I also have multiple friends lists that I can drill down and view recent activity due to so much activity getting pushed below the fold.
    Cheers! Jeff
