    • Type of Feedback: Something I want
    I would like to be able to create custom views based on the type of message received. IE: filtering custom views based on messages and notifications.

    I checked the DB and it seems that there are a few different message types "0,1,2,3,4,5" Zero being regular PM messages and all the others being notifications (correct me if I'm wrong).

    Can we record this as a feature to be added to a future release? filterbymessagetype="0,1,2,3,4,5" or messagetype="1,2,3" so custom views like the below can possibly be created for notifications:

    Cheers! Jeff

    Is no one else interested in filtering message types into custom views? Surely there's someone?
    Cheers! Jeff

    I can definitely see the benefit in this - I just haven't had time to start this level of customization +1

    I was just wondering if there was any way to filter messages yet.

    My site is getting busier, and i am quickly realizing the inbox is too simple to be effective. At the very least, an ajax-based filter at the top of the columns to isolate a user (much better than fb's if implemented correctly). But adding similar filtering textboxes on top of the subject, dates etc would also help. I do this with my XAF applications (actually it is a fundamental ability to all list-oriented displays) and once you are used to it, everything else is primitive.

    I hope this doesn't sound hoity-toity (is that even a word?) but a list with only paging is far too primitive to be usable. Thanks for listening. drew..

    {edit: a please add the auto-focus to the first logical box in every screen.. Clicking New Message should ALWAYS drop the focus to To:}

    Would really still love to see an option to filter messages by type. :)
