It would be great if we could utilize the existing Active Social Controls to create a custom view off of the "ComposeMessage" template that would allow anon users to send messages.

Use Case:

Create a form (custom view) that allows anonymous and registered users to send a message to either an admin, admins, or a role. To be used as a "Contact Us" form within a portal instance.

Another option could be to allow a link be placed in the skin that would trigger the modal popup to be used as a "contact us" form.

This would allow for one centralized location "AS messaging" for delegated users/admins to receive notifications by anon/registered users.

Seems the only 2 things that are missing is to add another field for anon users to enter their email address, and to set security to allow anon users access to the AS messaging system.

I actually did a prototype for something like this a few months ago. I was able to add additional fields and include them in the message using client script. As you mentioned, the other missing piece was the ability to allow for anon users. I think we could get come up with an option to handle that capability.
