I've just tried deleting some groups I created, and the group roles and group forums are left over. These should really be cleaned up when a group is deleted. DNN 4.9.0 and AS 1.0.17

No, there should be an option for these to be cleaned up. What if you are using the role for something else? What if the forums are linked?

Fair enough. There definitely needs to be an option though. If you've got thousands of users creating and deleting groups... and EVERYTHING is left behind, that's ridiculous.

This sure will make admin life a bit easier.

Could be. Depends on the situation. Each environment is different and use case is different. What might seem ridiculous to you, might be a benefit to another.

Look, I'm not ignorant to this fact. I agree it would be better to have an option to cleanup, but I feel that this option is vitally important, and not just some general feature request. If I create and delete a group called "Group A", there are roles and forums left behind. If I or another user, then tries to create another group with the same name, the application will not let them, saying "Group name already in use", which isn't accurate. If you delete the left over roles for "Group A" (but don't touch the left over forums), and try and create a new "Group A" the application won't complain about the group name already being in use. It will let you create a second group called "Group A". You'll now have 2 sets of forums called "Group A", one of which is active, and one of which is not. If you multiply this by 500 users creating 1 group each...
