    • Type of Feedback: Something I love

    Hello,

I want to create request of ActiveSocial profile and summary paging modification.
No it has the following system - the latest is on page 0, the next 1, etc. So all users of activesocial will expreience the dynamic content indexing problem since :

    1) Google's Webmaster FAQs page warns that:

"We are able to index dynamically generated pages. However, because our web crawler can easily overwhelm and crash sites serving dynamic content, we limit the amount of dynamic pages we index."

Inktomi is also slowly adding dynamic content

"If your Web site is based on dynamic links and you want your site to appear in our search engine, one approach is to have some static pages which have links to your dynamic pages."

Due to the Active Social paging system the all of profile and summary content are dynamic. But if the paging will start like
1 - the latest, 2 a bit earlier etc. the most of pages will be static actually.

I have a couple of software that creates pages this way getting content of people discussions and I know that is pretty possible to realize.

If you want dynamic content to be indexed by google etc the best way to achieve this is to create an RSS feed from your dynamic data and submit that as a sitemap to Google etc.

See this article on the 'Trawing the Deep Web' http://www.fatgeorge.co.uk/Home/Art...d-way.aspx

This details how to expose Xmod data to search sites but the overall concept is the same:

Data -> RSS -> Google Sitemap etc.....

By the way Xmod Pro can be used to read any DNN data and produce an RSS feed.

you use something e.g. XMod Pro to create an RSS feed from the journal database table.
