Active social is now become the premium social networking module for DNN. There are two main features that i wana see in active social.

1) Invite Users (to not registered users)
 This feature is highly required in any social network. It helps to increase the total number of users registered in a website. Just like any other social networking module it will allow user to enter his email and password for MSN, YAHOO and GMAIL etc and grab email addresses from there. It'll then ask user to who it send invitation email. Later invited users can create account and added as a friend of invitation sender.

2) ActiveSocial Photos integration with FaceBook / Flickr photos.
  This will allow users to bring their photos from other websites to activesocial website. And it will also increase the user's interest in the website.


So do you have any plans to including this change in near future ?

Me too any updates on this? In the UK we have launched a new BIG social network at www.moanspace.co.uk and we expect great things for this. We now have 128 registered users and anticipate good growth of people joinging for a good moan about varying topics.

The link to Twitter posts works really well but we could do with better integration to Facebook.

I would love to have the ability to invite people to join the social. Is this a feature on the roadmap?

Our client is asking for the same thing from active social: yahoo, gmail, hotmail and facebook contacts to send a join message or add as friend if already on site.

I think becoz of current enhancements its now possible.
In groups you can invite users and new users directly become member of that group after registration.
This can be done with profile. Users can invite their friends and after registration the invited user automatically become friend of the one who invites him.

So any update on this as I do not see anyone from AS commenting on this?
