Hi all, I know there is already a thread on this topic but I cant seem to get to the right Forum due to an error appearing.

I was wondering if anyone is able to share how they have integrated UVG, UMG and Ventrian Property Agent into Active Social.

Hi Stephen,

I have integrated with UMG / UVG and the News Articles (not the PA).

My Active Social setup in the standard mode (Admin Guide Page 4) and I have created an additional page. This page is not in the menu and I gave it view permission to my registered users because I don't want unregistered users to watch the profiles (they should be able to decide themselves and this feature will be included in one of the upcoming releases).

On this new page I have added the satellite modules (with filtering capabilities) and changed the filter to "asuid". The integration of the modules within AS is done in the template ProfileView.htm and I have added my 3rd party modules between "My Topics"and "Account" tab. You need to know the Module & Tab Ids of the modules.

The exact syntax can be found in a post of Will about this 3rd party integration which I believe is in the Customer Only forum (can't provide you with it now because I get some error when entering this forum).

Thanks Marc, I have added the tabs in AS and have the modules appearing however they dont seem to filter by the AS user ID. How and where do you set up the AS user ID filter in UVG and UMG so that only the relevant photos and media appear ?

Can I ask which site you have set these modules up in ?....

I have the UMG running in profile integration mode and have entered the asuid as the filter. The filtering for UVG is done in the FreeVideoList module and I have the asuid entered on the right-hand side in the field "User Key".

Keep in mind that clicking on you user name in the login control, without having the special login skin object installed, will not show you the filtered media. You can get passed this by visiting your profile from the member list because the asuid needs to be in the URL otherwise there is no way to filter the content (I need to adjust this as well).

For the life of me I cant seem to get UVG to filter by the ASUID even though I have set this up as per the demo and the way you have explained above.

With the UMG did you use the extra 'extension pack' that is in the downloads area of the bizmodules.net website ?

The guys from Ventrian have come back to me and said there is now a way to filter the property agent.

Slowly I am getting there !!!

It seems like you're not using the welcome skin object of AS yet. Therefore, when you click on your username the content in the FreeVideoList module is not filtered because the asuid is not a part of the url. This is discussed in other topics in the customer only forum.


Correct I am using the extension pack.

I forgot to mention that when you browse to your profile from the memberlist the asuid will be included in the url and, if anything is set correctly, you will be able to see the videos.
