I'm trying to create a really sparse (clean) 'newbie' member home page with AS modules showing minimal 'MY STUFF'.

I have the AS Welcome module on it, and I use a role based html module for 'new' members in the role with tool tips on what does what. This is so they can learn what social media is/does/etc for them without scaring them.

What I can't seem to understand is which AS module(s) can be setup to filter on userid, like Ventrian News, UVG, EventsCalendar, etc do.

Either of the AS Summary View (wall display modes) produce stuff that is way way too much for the newbie. They filter community wide it seems to me, rather than; "show me recent 'MY STUFF' so I can catch up".

Has anyone found a post about setting up Forums and AS for UserID (me) filtering?

The summary view has always been designed to show you only items related to you. Where it can become confusing is when you have the Journal permissions defaulting to Everyone. This means that user will see everything whether it is related to them or not.

I think the idea of starting a social site has to be balanced with the privacy/safety of the users. So 'everyone' is tempting for 'priming the pump' but I see that having the 'comment' box visible, but NOT usable is a real problem. Thanks for clearing this up.
