Hello,
I guess it is possible but I want to ask how I can make it.
I want to create a couple of checkbox in the user profile settings that can subscribe users to the roles. If it is possible I will do the following checkboxes:
1) " I want to receive news mails" - it will be include users to the role that receives portal news mails
2) "On/Off facebook style bar" - I will show module of the bar with web messenger to the users subscribed to the webmessenger role

So is it possible to modify template in that way and how?
