    Hi,
Is it possible to enable pop-up notification only one time during the session of user ?
For the moment, the pop-up appears each time we load a page with the view
welcome center until i read the messages/alerts.

    Thanks in advance

No, but this is a good feature request.

This is exactly the reason why I disabled the notification popups on our site.  If it could be once per session (or new message) then I'd likely turn it back on.

I disabled popups for the same reason.  Perhaps instead of only once per session, it could be once per current status.  What I mean is, if you have 1 new message and 1 notification, the popup would only display once per session...until you get another new message or alert, e.g. now you have 2 new messages, so you get a popup, and only once that session until it changes again.

i recently participating in threads and experimented and was very happy to get the notification popup showing across all pages of my dnn site, yeah.

I received hate mail. It seems the little bugger is popping up almost none-stop. And i confirmed this. I went looking for a popup interval and found none. One user told me she would not revisit my site it was so annoying. So.. i had to turn it off. This is too important to not have working. Look at fb, look at the little non-intrusive **push** tech that alters the little icons for users. They love that.

Little usability issues like this make huge impact impressions on fledgling users.  drew..

Control Panel > Settings > Messaging Section you will see an option for "Check for messages every X minutes".

Also, users have the option to turn it off under their account settings.

This is a fairly old post. Questions or comments about the behavior should be created in a new topic under feature requests.
