I'm having a challenging time finding the correct settings so everyone can view all the content in the social summary.  Right now it appears that non-registered users can see everything while registered users can only see limited info.  I have the groups set so everyone can view content, but only registered users and members can post.  The groups all have forums and the settings in the forum are also set allow everyone to read, but only registered  users can post.

I have posted a few views below so you can understand what I am talking about.

Here's what a visitor who has not registered with the site would see via active summary:

Here's what I see as admin:

Now here are views from three different member accounts, each one different.  All were captured at the same time:

Here's the link to the summary page:

If I want everyone who visits the social summary page to see all the content, what are the correct settings I need to apply to the groups and forum?

Here is what I have for assigned roles via the forum settings:

    Thanks!

    Fred,
What you want to accomplish isn't possible until the next release. Right now the journal does depend on friends and group security to return items. Active Social 1.8 will allow you to change this behavior and offer a few other security options.

But then I am not Will. :)
I am using the latest AS/AF/DNN available.
    Thanks.

If you were interested in working with the API I could send you a beta now. Official release will be next week.

Will, I am interested in the beta. That way I can use the time between now and the official release to work on the integration. Perhaps setting up a beta download for all AS community members to access would help the many others anxiously waiting. Of course, BIG disclaimer about "don't use this in a production site" wouldn't hurt. ;)

Great! That's how we usually handle beta releases.

I have been looking around for the location of the Beta 1.8 and cannot find it. Have you had a chance to post it?

    Thanks,

Not yet, but should be tomorrow. I just finished the last remaining feature for the Journal API. I'll document it tomorrow and release a beta shortly after.
