I would like to enable users to become fans of other professional users. Once a user becomes a fan of another users he starts getting updates to hos journal summary. It is similar to group subscription but more simple. I see one way of doing it one of which I might guess is not supported:

Adding one way friend to the Friends table in the database. That is if A is a fan of B than B should be added as a friend of A in order for A to get updates from B. It is somewhat awkward but it works (or maybe not!?)

I don't know if the new Journal API provides a better way to do it, I'd love to hear some ideas.

    Thanks,

Yes it is the same concept. Only here instead of a mere thought the 'leader' can broadcast any journal item to his followers.

Yesterday I created another topic regarding this subject but I guess it was moderated (was it, if so why?)

Anyway, AS team (or DNN AS team) could you please provide an answer to this question. We need to know if there is a journal API we could use to post a journal entry to users' wall (or summary page). Something like:

    AddJournalEntry(List
    Thanks

It was moderated because all posts in the support forums are moderated. It has been approved now though.

You posted in the support forum, which is always moderated. I'll move your post to the advance topic forum in just a few minutes.

Anyway, AS team (or DNN AS team) could you please provide an answer to this question. We need to know if there is a journal API we could use to post a journal entry to users' wall (or summary page). Something like:

We are working on a much more robust feature set for Friends/Followers and other kinds of relationships. This will be part of the core integration later this year. Due to all the different moving parts involved I can't recommend a solution that would achieve what you are trying to do.

There is a a journal API already. You can see how it works in this vid: http://dnnosphere.com/videos/player...ity-module

I suppose you could write code to select your list of users and then post to their walls.  Also, if you post to your wall and that list are friends....depending on security settings they will see it on the summary.
