We have an issue where a user cannot see the info tab on another user.
The user has all their profile settings set to 'Everyone', but when another user goes to their profile, the 'info' tab is missing. Where is this setting and how do I fix it?
It occurred in the previous version of AS and in the 1.6 version.

Tabs are not controlled by profile settings, they are managed in a config file.n by default the info tab is set to friends only. If you search for info tab you should see several topics that cover this in more detail.

Hi will, thanks for your response, I found these:
    http://www.activemodules.com/Commun...fault.aspx
    http://www.activemodules.com/Commun...fault.aspx
    http://www.activemodules.com/Commun...aspx#31492
but can't really understand how those help me.

I'm hoping someone very clever and patient can talk me through this one like I'm a five year old.

PS: AS 1.6 is frikkin mint! Thank you.

    Five Year Old Proof Directions:

    1. Open the DesktopModules/ActiveSocial/config directory.
    2. Create a copy of the profileviewtabs.config file. This file contains the code for the tabs on the User Profile.
    3. Move the copy to the Portals/{PortalId}/activesocial directory. {PortalId} is an actual number.
    4. Make sure the file name is still correct, and open the file in your favorite text editor. (Notepad)
    5. The 8th line starts with this: < tab controlkey="info" >
    6. Locate the property: permissions="Friend"
    7. Delete the word Friend, so that it looks like this: permissions="" (With no space between the quotation marks).
    8. Save the file.
    9. You may need to clear your browsers cache if the changes do not appear immediately.

    Now, that's how I want it :)
I am using the latest AS/AF/DNN available.
    Thanks.

Are we able to create different {groupviewtabs.config} files for different module instances of the AS module set to groups? I seem to only get the single modification to be available - as in 1-for-all?
