Can we get a way to set an 'opt-in' subscriptions for group members by default.

I've just discovered that none of the group members (except 3) have opted in to get the emails, but they all used to get them when we just had the forum.

I've checked the database, and that's not really an option for setting everyone's to receive once again... so suggestions?
