Why when I try to create an event, no categories has been shown on the dropdown list ?

I've checked the files "ventcat.config" and "eventcattype.config" and they have information. I've modified them, restarted all the site many times... but nothing.

Any hint, please? I've added to this thread a image about my problem

On the Design Tab you should check if you want the category for the groups, event or both.
