Why are the members and group members not in alphabetical order? Is there a setting somewhere to change this?

The default sort based upon descending order of UserIds. This allows for the display of the newest members first. However, you can customize the sort order from the Social View Settings link at the bottom of module.

Great, thanks. That fixed the membership page. Is there a way to sort alphabetical on the Group Members Tab?

Currently, i used the display name format [FIRSTNAME] [LASTNAME] to show members.
Is it possible to sort members by lastname and not by firstname with the alphabar ?

    Hi,
We want to achieve the same which is to sort members by lastname instead of firstname. Our client is asking for this feature specifically and the website is going live next week. Any suggestions?

    Thanks,
    Cassie

It would be great if this could be done -- right now it sorts by first name, which makes no sense from the point of view of users. Thanks for listening! :-)

The ability to alphabetize group members is very important to our implementation as well. Can anyone offer a solution for this? Thanks

Is there a way to sort members alphabetically in the Group View? The ability to sort the list via Social View Settings is not available, yet is very important to our organization. Our group members should be listed by name rather than when they were added. Thanks

    Hi
I had the same problem with the alphabetical order in groups - as my groups are fixed with only certain people that i know in advance - import users as a text file using an import/export user module but i filter the list from z to a before importing so that the A is the last member imported into the group and is always on top -
This probably wouldn't work if people joined a group now and then - hope this helps

Is there a roadmap somewhere where we can see what's being planned?

    Thanks,
    Steve
