I saved one of my Profile Templates for a custom journal type without any content and now it is gone from the list of available templates in the Journal Type Editor. I have submitted a couple of support forum posts yesterday but didn't get any reply. So I thought I would try to get some help from other users. I don't see a way to get it back or create a new one. In one of Will's blog posts I think he mentioned 4 types of templates available the Journal Type Editor.

    Profile
    Group
    Summary
and 1 more I can't seem to find.

So when I created a New Journal Type it had three template names in there. But once I saved the Profile template without content it is now gone. And I don't see it in the db or file structure. Actually, I guess I do see a possible location in the db in the JournalType table, but ALL of the entries for the 4 custom journal types have NULL in that table for ALL three templates. So I was thinking there must be somewhere else this is stored because of the 12 templates (3 per 4 custom journal type) I have 11 of them working fine.

Hopefully someone can shed some light on this. I hate to post in Support and then later in the General Discussion but it looks like my other two posts might have fallen through the cracks. And without a template I can't determine if this custom journal posting is working correctly.

Can anyone please help with this? There has to be a way of adding Templates to Journal Types. I tried to review the db structure to see if I could add the template back in manually, but I can't figure out what is going on in the db. You can see in my attached image that there is not a Profile template on the left menu and I don't see any buttons to add it back in. I have been trying for weeks now to get some resolution on this to no avail.

I just tested in the most recent version, and I can not save a template with no content. Can you just delete the custom journal type and create a new one to replace it?

I didn't get a chance to test trying to save without content. But I did just delete the existing journal type and recreated it. That worked. But now I am not sure how to reorder the journal types. The one I had to recreate was one of several that go together. It looks like it would be a great opportunity to just use a drag and drop to reorder journal types. Hopefully you aren't going to say that they cannot be reordered...are you?

    Thanks.
