I prefer my social site not show
"
but instead
"
about 1 hour ago" OR "about an hour ago"
Can this be tweaked by us or within code? thanks, drew..

I believe this can be done by using the language editor. Log in as an admin and replace the text in the appropriate language text file.

Thanks Marc, but i doubt this will work as this is normally a calculated string, and it draws from either [RESX:TimeSpan:HourAgo].Text or [RESX:TimeSpan:HoursAgo].Text. The calculation needs to be refined so that we never see the incorrect "1 hours ago". Even computer noobies read this and wrinkle up their noses ;)

That's right. I have seen cases where this build up from multiple parts where the actual time is the variable and the remaining text is obtained from the resx files.
Look for the following field ([RESX:TimeSpan:HoursAgo].Text) in the SharedResources.resx file
I believe this is the one you're looking for. Perhaps you could change it to something like hour(s) to indicate the difference between one and multiple hours.

Marc

This usually means there is a problem with your timezone configuration. I've tested all the singular time amounts( 1 sec, 1 minute, 1 hour, 1 day) and they all display a proper singular time representation.
