Just wanted to get an updated status from anyone who might have been successful at integrating a Document Management module into AS. I have tried a couple of times to get Peter Donker to consider integrating his DMX module with AS. Hopefully he will respond to my latest email. You can see it below.

Although it would be great to have a module integrated into the journal, I would settle for just a simple module for managing documents within a member or group profile. I know my groups will definitely need the ability to have documents for its members. Also, it would be nice to be able to turn off some advanced functionality when it is not needed.

A few months ago there was discussion suggesting that some of the existing modules like DMX might already have the permissions necessary to use with AS; they just might not be integrated into the journal yet. Does anyone have any document management working in AS in a fairly robust manner?

There is just so much that I need to do in AS for which I cannot seem to find an elegant solution.

    Thanks.

What controls the visibility on forum posts? Is there something I need to set in the post or in my profile? I created this post but the lock has an R when I hover over it and others have Everyone. I noticed this when I visited the site but was not logged in and was wondering why this post was not visible. Then I logged in and saw it. I looked at my Profile Settings and didn't see anything to change.

You don't control the security, we do. The journal posts match the security from Active Forums. "R" means the post is only visible to select roles. The same roles that have read permission for this forum.

OK, that makes sense. Is there some reason that Reply posts I make on an existing thread have Everyone visibility, but new threads I create have R visibility? Does it depend on which Forum I am in?
