At first I thought perhaps the What's New module wasn't working corrrectly, but found that clicking on some of the links took me to the first page of a multi-page thread instead of the most recent thread posting.  This only happens if sort order is set to "most recent first" for thread viewing.  If I set the sort order to "oldest first" it seems to work just fine.

Is this something I have set incorrectly, or is it a feature??

When I click a link in the What's New module, it is always taking me to the last page of a topic, regardless of the sort order.

However, with AF vanity URLs enabled, it appears to be taking me to the correct page.

I would suggest updating your version to 4.3.5, and enabling Vanity URLs to maximize compatibility.
