The settings for the mail connector are shown in the attachment. I tried several variations until I hit this one. There were several posts on this forum that didn't give enough information, and references to links that are no longer valid. Hope this saves someone some time.

Note - you will probably need to enable POP3 in your Google Apps/Gmail setup as well.
