    • Active Forums Version: 4.3.5
    • DotNetNuke Version: 5.6.2
I created multiple forums with a unique security role for each forum. As an example I created the forum Board of Directors with a role of Board of Directors. This role can, View, Read, Create and Reply. The administrator role can do everything.

Next, I sign on as a user whose only assigned role is CFO. This user, when it clicks on UnAnswered can see all the topics in all the forums which includes Board of Directors. I would not expect this as the user does not have rights to View the forum. If the user clicks on the topic it will not open to the detail.

    How can I fix this?

Did you remove the view permissions from the registered users and all users roles?

On the Security tab for the Forum, the only two roles that are displayed are the Administrator and Board of Directors. If I add Registered User and All User they are added with "View" set to Green check, I change this icon to a red minus sign. After that they both disapper from my list.

Is this what you are referring to? If so, I believe that I have done it.

    Thank you for your help.

How can I receive support on this issue? We purchased the Entreprise version in May. I included three screen prints to demonstrate this issue.

If you would like, you could send me login information in a private message, and I can take a look at your settings. Please include an administrator account, and an account that you believe should not have access to the private forums.

If you put a check mark next to "hidden" on each individual forum settings, then it will not be displayed. I think because you do not have it marked as hidden, then the user technically has "view" permission of the forum, even though it can not access it.

They should not be able to see the name of the topic when hidden is unchecked though, so I will add that to our issue tracker.
